Go, sit upon the lofty hill,
And turn your eyes around,
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound.
The summer sun is faint on them —
The summer flowers depart —
Sit still — as all transform’d to stone,
Except your musing heart.

— from “The Autumn,” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning

  1. Those Autumn Leaves are beautiful in many places. Just returned from a visit to the mountains of West Virginia where the colors and scenery were also spectacular.

  2. Reblogged this on MadeleineMaya.

  3. Yes they are. I enjoy sharing the sight of colors just a few minutes from the desert cactus to large-leaf colors.

  4. Beautiful! Good week!
