I like all the photos. I lived out west for years. A lot of mystery to find in the old places. Good description in the poem.
The many desert contrast of earth and sky adds an element of mystery to each opening.
Gorgeous shots–I especially like the southwestern colors.
It help to love the desert southwest when taking photos here.
The color palette is just not the same as what I see here in Northern Virginia.

I recently wrote a short story answering the question, “What’s behind the door?” It was an old open door that I saw pictured and it brought a story to mind.
