Capturing The Moment — Winter Windowlight   4 comments

Sweetwater Trail Wasson PeakWinter Windowlight — Image kenne

winter days grow short
shadows grow long

as

darkness catches the light
pleasing slant to the eye
leafless trees

chill the blood

winter window fancies the room
as paint on canvas

becoming

a reading place
warmth of a fireplace
surrounded by soft music
in the mind of dreams

  1. Great picture! It manages to invoke a sense of hope in a dark place and captures the nuances the light brings with it in a sutble, yet stated manner.

  2. Nice poem and picture. I want to sit right there and take a nap.;-)

  3. Reblogged this on Becoming is Superior to Being and commented:

Ok, so it’s 70 degrees here in the desert winter. — kenne
