“Where The Water Runs Dry” — Images by kenne
We live in a land
where the water
runs dry,
the supply
no longer sustainable
from the sky.
There was a time
when nature
met the need
until it met
the adversary,
greed.

I enjoyed both the poem and the way you handled color and texture in the picture.
Thank you, Alice.
Isn’t this the truth? I read and felt every single line with clarity. Our earth is crying unheard except for poems like yours that remind us. Short but extremely powerful, probably more powerful because it is so condensed. Beautiful image to go with it.
I’m pleased the poem connected — Thanks for the comment.
