The Desert – Both Rapturous And Terrifying
It was only recently that the desert became my dwelling place,
A place known for a strong relationship with spiritual quest,
A quest of the soul on a journey into the infinite space,
A space where nature’s contrasts paint a deceiving picture,
A picture not of abandonment, but of a confusing contrast,
A contrast of being whole in the void of nothingness,
A nothingness that gives birth to all meaning and value,
A value of individuality and sharper interaction with humanity,
A humanity that is responsible for all added to and taken from the universe.

What a sad incident, that could have happened anywhere. What a statement on the anger in our country and world. We have got to have more civility toward one another!! I hope this is a statement for Congress to tone down the criticism and begin to work together. That applies to Texas too, as our Legislature starts meeting on Tues. Things they will need to work with are the huge deficit and reapportionment, as well as education/
I know your news is inundated with this. My prayers are for all Tucson residents, and well as those injured and families where there has been death. I hope something good will come out of all this.

Yes, Kenne. You are correct. It is a sad day for humanity. This hits close to home, but there are many visions in the world that leaves us with a heavy heart. True obscenity should be defined as “Man’s inhumanity to man”.
We Americans are alleged to be above this sort of atrocity, but this melancholy idea is fast fading in the eyes of realist.
I will pray that God takes those that died in Tucson into his vision and give recovery to those injured. The pains for the families involved will be difficult to resolve. We can help by getting on our knees and ask God to support the families of those involved.

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the January 8, 2011, shooting in Tucson. The gun violence only gets worse. Every day and average of 91 people die from firearm wounds. More needs to be done to keep guns out of the hands of people who are a danger to self or others. — kenne
