This blog has allowed me to maintain a journal, something I always wanted to do but never happened. It is my desire to continue to grow in the creative spirit in 2011, this time next year, sharing another “becoming” year in review. As I may have said before, I feel that I was born to blog. I love creating things to share and providing links to other creative people.

WordPress is considered the best blogging platform and is very friendly for the viewer.  Here are a few things to consider that may make your visit to this blog more pleasurable: You can subscribe to it (See left column.); view an individual posting by clicking on the title; view previous or next posting by clicking on the titles located before the comments section of each posting; or you can scroll down a continuous flow of postings by double-clicking on the page header anytime. And remember, a list of recent posts is always maintained in the left column.  Enjoy your visit, and I hope you continue to come back. And as always, your comments are most welcomed.

    • Merry Christmas, Jo & James. We are looking forward to spending a few days in the Houston area, but sadly will begin our time there attending a memorial service for a former co-worker’s husband. At the same time. we are so thankful for all the blessing we have received this past year and in the past. We still spend time listening on the Internet to the blues on KPFT. Tucson has a great community radio station, KXCI and have four hours of the Blues programing, “The Blues Review” with Marty Kool, on Saturday night. With a little bit of lock, we may cross paths.

  2. Thanks for the update, Kenne! and special thanks for your excellent video work for ALL’s 10th anniversary event. you were missed. I note that you saw Band of Heathens. I plan to take my son, Ryan, to see them at Dosey Doe’s next week. Ryan just took up guitar this fall and is enjoying the art. He’s getting a Stratocaster for Christmas, so our household will be a bit noisier…at least until he heads off to UT in the fall.

I hope we see each other soon. Let me know if you’ll be in Houston any time soon.

    Happy holidays,
    Steve

    • . . . you and your son will love the Heathens. We were surprised to see them on the schedule at a popular local club, Club Congress. I have a couple of videos on YouTube:

The timing was bad for them to be doing their first Tucson gig, a great music town, but students were not let back for the fall semester, which makes a big difference at the Club Congress. Hope they come back some day, maybe again on their way back to Texas from LA.

Merry Christmas. Joy and I are about to spend our Christmas Day hiking in the Catalina foothills.

  3. Amazing how much happened in 2010. We miss you guys and are looking forward to your visit. Even though I may not be able to get out and about New Year’s Eve for Gene’s gig we still want to meet up for dinner. Safe travels my friends. Sorry to hear about another loss in your circle of friends.
    Merry Christmas..
    Mary and Kenneth
The people in our lives give us fuel for our journey. Without them we would not travel so far or be so enriched. ..mb

  4. . . . yes, people are the fuel for all that makes us who we are. I’m a great believer of “I-thou” as well as “I-Thou.”

Jus to make sure we have them. please e-mail your telephone numbers. Our schedule is being juggled as I write.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.

  5. Just returned home from our holiday trip and read through the events in your lives the past year. WOW! You two have had a busy 12 months. I think I need a nap!

    • We will be leaving here tomorrow morning, stop in Ft Stockton, arriving in Kingwood late Tuesday afternoon. See you and the others at the Nut. As life would have it, we will be attending a former co-worker’s husband’s memorial service before getting to the Nut.

  6. Reblogged this on Becoming is Superior to Being and commented:

2010 was the year we moved to Tucson, Arizona. On December 23, 2010, I posted a review of year filled with music, poetry, friends, travel, family, festivals and, of course, the big move to Tucson. As we enter 2017, we hope to have a healthy, active year and hope the same for our family and friends. HAPPY NEW YEAR! — kenne and joy
