2010
The year 2010 has been a hectic and healthy year for us, giving us so much to look back on. Much of what has come to past was not have been posted on this blog, yet it contains more entries than any previous year and more views, up 2,500 over the previous high of last year — all this in a year where Facebook has eaten into my social media time. Here’s a highlight of 2010:

This blog has allowed me to maintain a journal, something I always wanted to do but never happened. It is my desire to continue to grow in the creative spirit in 2011, this time next year, sharing another “becoming” year in review. As I may have said before, I feel that I was born to blog. I love creating things to share and providing links to other creative people.

Merry Christmas, Jo & James. We are looking forward to spending a few days in the Houston area, but sadly will begin our time there attending a memorial service for a former co-worker’s husband. At the same time. we are so thankful for all the blessing we have received this past year and in the past. We still spend time listening on the Internet to the blues on KPFT. Tucson has a great community radio station, KXCI and have four hours of the Blues programing, “The Blues Review” with Marty Kool, on Saturday night. With a little bit of lock, we may cross paths.

Thanks for the update, Kenne! and special thanks for your excellent video work for ALL’s 10th anniversary event. you were missed. I note that you saw Band of Heathens. I plan to take my son, Ryan, to see them at Dosey Doe’s next week. Ryan just took up guitar this fall and is enjoying the art. He’s getting a Stratocaster for Christmas, so our household will be a bit noisier…at least until he heads off to UT in the fall.
I hope we see each other soon. Let me know if you’ll be in Houston any time soon.

The timing was bad for them to be doing their first Tucson gig, a great music town, but students were not let back for the fall semester, which makes a big difference at the Club Congress. Hope they come back some day, maybe again on their way back to Texas from LA.
Merry Christmas. Joy and I are about to spend our Christmas Day hiking in the Catalina foothills.
Amazing how much happened in 2010. We miss you guys and are looking forward to your visit. Even though I may not be able to get out and about New Year’s Eve for Gene’s gig we still want to meet up for dinner. Safe travels my friends. Sorry to hear about another loss in your circle of friends.

Just returned home from our holiday trip and read through the events in your lives the past year. WOW! You two have had a busy 12 months. I think I need a nap!
We will be leaving here tomorrow morning, stop in Ft Stockton, arriving in Kingwood late Tuesday afternoon. See you and the others at the Nut. As life would have it, we will be attending a former co-worker’s husband’s memorial service before getting to the Nut.
